On 21 April 2026, in the premises of the Chamber of Economy/Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, the Founding Assembly of the Association of Importers and Distributors of Technical Consumer Goods (white goods, small household appliances, IT and telecommunications) was held.
Representatives of 15 leading companies from the technical consumer goods sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which employ a significant number of workers and participate in a significant share of domestic trade, gathered with the aim of joint action towards institutions, improving the regulatory framework, protecting consumers, combating unfair competition, raising professional standards and strengthening the competitiveness and sustainable development of the entire sector.
At the Founding Assembly, the founding and other key acts were adopted, thereby creating the formal and legal conditions for the start of the Association’s work within the Chamber of Economy/Commerce of the Federation of BiH.
In accordance with the adopted agenda, the bodies of the Association were elected, and Tarik Baraković was elected president, while Sanja Rajić was elected vice president.
The establishment of the Association represents a significant step towards more organized and efficient action of this sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on market development, improving the regulatory framework and consumer protection.
The Chamber of Economy/Commerce of the Federation of BiH will continue to provide active support to the work of the Association, with the aim of strengthening the sector and contributing to the overall economic development of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
