The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH has been carrying out activities for many years that have helped domestic products, services, and companies become recognized both on the domestic market and beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2021, for the first time, promotional campaigns “BUY DOMESTIC-BUILD BIH” and “BUY DOMESTIC-VISIT LOCAL” were implemented. In all ten cantons in the FBiH, exhibition-promotional-sales activities were carried out with stands and brochure materials. The partners were cantonal chambers, retail chains, and companies. The campaign lasted one month and covered several sectors: metal, plastics, wood, food and beverages, textiles, agriculture, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, tourism, electrical engineering, and IT.
During the campaign, the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH concluded that the existing campaigns to encourage the purchase of domestic products should be given new value and elevated to a completely new and higher level. For this purpose, the Chamber adopted the Rulebook on Visual Marking Signs of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Products and Services – “BH Quality” / “BH Quality” / and “Original Domestic” / “BH Creation” /.
Likewise, the Chamber’s governing bodies adopted the rules of procedure of the Technical Commissions and the Council for Visual Marking. At the request of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a certificate for the BH Quality and Original Domestic trademark to the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, thereby creating the conditions for continuing activities on the protection of quality domestic products. The complete new campaign titled: “I WOULD BUY OURS” as well as the mentioned visual marking signs are protected at the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH. The “BH Quality” and “Original Domestic” signs are intended to encourage the development of domestic production, raise the quality level of BOSNIAN-HERZEGOVINIAN products, production technologies and services, encourage creativity, originality, development and research work, innovation and invention, and promote the Bosnian-Herzegovinian state and create a Bosnian-Herzegovinian identity on the world market.
